Hi, I’m Dan, and this is my corner of the internet where I share what I’m learning about trading, crypto, investing, and making money online — without the hype or the fluff.
I was born and bred in Brisbane, Australia, and I still call it home today. Some of my favourite local escapes are Moreton and North Stradbroke Island — the kind of places where you can slow down, reset, and get some perspective. They are probably some of the best places to visit on this earth.
My Story#
I’ve been fascinated by trading and investing from a young age. In fact, I bought my first trading course at just 16 years old.
A major turning point came when I read Nick Radge’s book, Unholy Grails. It opened my eyes to systematic trading and taught me that you don’t need to sit in front of a screen all day to make money in the markets.
Over the years, I’ve explored everything from stocks and forex to cryptocurrencies, building up my knowledge and refining my approach along the way.
What I’m Focused on Now#
Right now, my main focus is tracking the crypto markets — I believe they’re a big part of the future of finance. I’m also experimenting with systematic trading strategies and constantly looking for new ways to approach stocks, forex, and crypto.
This site is my personal side project — a place to document my learnings, test ideas, and share experiences. It’s not tied to any agenda; it’s simply about topics I find interesting. If you’re into trading, crypto, investing, or online business, I hope you’ll find something useful here.
Why I Built This Site#
I’ve been building websites for over 20 years, and I started this one because I wanted to learn something new — specifically, how to use Hugo, which I think is the best static site generator out there.
This site is as much a learning journey for me as it is a resource for anyone reading it.
My Philosophy#
- No hype, no B.S., plain English.
- Be honest and treat people the way you want to be treated.
- Share what works, admit what doesn’t.
Beyond the Markets#
When I’m not reading charts or testing strategies, you’ll probably find me:
- Spending time with my family (I’m the proud dad of five daughters, including twins)
- Getting out for some four-wheel driving
- Visiting Moreton Island or Stradbroke Island
